Best Research Article Award:

Best Doctoral Thesis Award:
Winner: Raymund Tapacal Palayon

Best Master’s Thesis Award:

TAAL Best Research Article and Thesis Awards 2024
We are pleased to announce the call for submission for the TAAL Best Research Article and Thesis Awards 2024, recognizing outstanding research contributions and celebrating academic excellence in the field of applied linguistics.
Award Categories:
TAAL Best Research Article Award
TAAL Best Doctoral Thesis Award
TAAL Best Master’s Thesis Award
Eligibility:
TAAL Best Research Article Award
- Submissions must be research articles in the field of applied linguistics or related fields published in the calendar year of 2022 and 2023 (Jan 2022-Dec 2023). The corresponding author must be affiliated with a Thai university (or other Thai institutions).
TAAL Best Doctoral Thesis Award
- Submissions must be doctoral theses in applied linguistics or related fields, examined in the academic years of 2022 and 2023 (Aug 2022 – Jul 2024). The thesis must be for a doctoral degree awarded by a Thai university.
TAAL Best Master’s Thesis Award
- Submissions must be theses for a master’s degree in applied linguistics or related fields, examined in the academic years of 2022 and 2023 (Aug 2022 – Jul 2024). The thesis must be for a masters degree awarded by a Thai university.

- Submit your application and a digital copy of your research paper or thesis via the following link: https://shorturl.at/8RbeM.
Deadline for Submission:
- All submissions must be received by 12 July 2024 (11:59 pm, Bangkok, Thailand).
Judging Criteria:
Submissions will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Research quality
- Innovativeness
- Impact on society
Awards:
Winners in each award category will be receive a certificate of recognition and the opportunity to present their works at Applied Linguistics Graduate Forum 2024. (The date of the award ceremony is to be announced.)

- Submissions must be research articles in the field of applied linguistics or related fields published in the calendar year of 2020-2021 (Jan 2020-Dec 2021). The corresponding author must be affiliated with a Thai university (or other Thai institutions).
TAAL Best Doctoral Thesis Award
- Submissions must be a thesis for a doctoral degree in the field of applied linguistics or related fields examined in the academic year of 2020 (Aug 2020 –Jul 2022). The thesis must be for a doctoral degree awarded by a Thai university.
TAAL Best Master’s Thesis Award
- Submissions must be a thesis for a masters degree in the field of applied linguistics or related fields examined in the academic year of 2020 (Aug 2020 –Jul 2022). The thesis must be for a masters degree awarded by a Thai university.
The award winners will be expected to give a 30-minute presentation of their research each at the Applied Linguistics Graduate Forum 2022 on November 5, 2022, and the award ceremony will be held on the Applied Linguistics Day 2022 (date to be announced).
